Authur became interested in Painting after he first visited the McMichael Art Gallery in the late 1960's. He was inspired after being introduced to A.Y. Jackson who was painting in the lobby. Upon returning, he started lessons from Richard Karon and attended Canadore night classes for several years. Arthur also attented classes at the Toronto School of Art.
He recently studied under Karen McLain at Arizona College and Dwayne Hardy in Algonquin Park.
Born and raised in a small Northern town of Callander, Ontario. Arthur spent much of his life in the out doors fishing and canoeing in Algonquin Park. He is partial to painting landscapes with oil paints.
Authur is now retired and spends his summers at his lake home in Callander and spends his winters in Arizona. He spends most of his time doing his passion which is being out doors capturing the worlds beauty by his Plein Air painting.
